1 പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൻ നൽ നേരമേ, ലോക ചിന്തകളകറ്റി
എന്നാഗ്രഹാവശ്യങ്ങളെ പിതാമുമ്പിൽ കേൾപ്പിക്കും നീ.
ആപൽ ദുഃഖ കാലങ്ങളിൽ -ആശ്വാസം കണ്ടതും ആത്മം
പേക്കണിയിൽ വീഴാഞ്ഞതും, ഇമ്പ സഖീ നിന്നാൽ തന്നെ.

2 പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൻ നൽ നേരമേ, മോദം പങ്കിടും നേരമേ,
ശുദ്ധർ മനം എരിയുന്നേ- എന്നാളും നിൻ വരവിന്നായ്.
എൻ രക്ഷകൻ വന്നീടുവാൻ താമസമൊട്ടും ഇല്ലിനി,
മുൻ നിരയിൽ കാണുമേ ഞാൻ- നിന്നെ കാത്തു അന്നേരമേ!

3 പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൻ നൽ നേരമേ, കാത്തിടുന്നാത്മാവേ വാഴ്ത്താൻ,
നിത്യം കാത്തിരിപ്പോൻ മുമ്പിൽ എത്തിക്കുമെന്നാഗ്രഹം നീ.
തന്മുഖം തേടി വചനം വിശ്വസിപ്പാൻ താൻ ചൊന്നതാൽ,
തന്നിൽ മുറ്റുമാശ്രയിച്ചു നിന്നെ കാപ്പാൻ നൽനേരമേ!

4 പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൻ നൽ നേരമേ, പിസ്ഗാമേൽ നിന്നെൻ വീടിനെ,
നോക്കി ഞാൻ പറക്കും വരെ- താ, നിന്നാശ്വാസപങ്കിനെ!
ഈജ്ജഡവസ്ത്രം വിട്ടു ഞാൻ- ലാക്കിനായ് പറന്നുയർന്നു,
വാനം കടക്കുമ്പോൾ നിന്നെ വിട്ടുപോകും നൽനേരമേ!

The contributor who furnished the hymn says: "During my residence at Coleshill, Warwickshire, England, I became acquainted with W. W. Walford, the blind preacher, a man of obscure birth and connections and no education, but of strong mind and most retentive memory.
