Representative Text

1 Millions are perishing over the sea,
Dying in sin and in anguish untold;
Jesus has purchased their life on the cross,
How can we their pardon withhold?

Refrain:
Calling for you, calling for me;
Hear them still calling for you and for me.

2 Millions are perishing over the sea,
Sorrow, misfortune and sadness are theirs;
Have we forgotten their souls are in need,
The while we are heaven’s own heirs? [Refrain]

3 Millions are perishing over the sea,
Why is it, brother, benighted they roam?
While they are sinking, eternally lost,
We’re resting so sweetly at home. [Refrain]

4 Millions are perishing over the sea,
Love can but answer their cries o’er the main;
Tarry no longer, oh, tell of the cross,
For them the dear Savior was slain. [Refrain]

But before we gather Pharisaic robes about ourselves, perhaps we need to look candidly at the way in which we, too, succumbed to so… Go to person page >
