Sunbeams of Glory

Author: Rev. Addison K. Scotten Hymnal: Songs of Help #4 (1917) First Line: Sunbeams of glory illuminate my soul Refrain First Line: Sunbeams of glory! Love is the story! Lyrics: 1 Sunbeams of glory illuminate my soul, Darkness gone forever, My Saviour has control; Gone is my sorrow While Jesus I can see; Love hast told the story, Love of God for me. Refrain: Sunbeams of glory! Love is the story! Let the blessed tidings onward roll! Sunbeams of glory! Sunbeams of glory! Shining, brightly shining in my soul! 2 O tell me never that Christ is not a friend! I have often proved Him, And on Him now depend; Come, O ye weary, Tho’ laden down with care, He, your blessed Saviour, Will your burden share. [Refrain] 3 Trusting in Jesus I find a sweet repose, Peacefully and onward My life’s great river flows; Each day is sweeter, The moments gently glide; Rests my soul contented, Jesus will provide. [Refrain] Tune Title: [Sunbeams of glory illuminate my soul]
