Seeking for Me

Author: A. N. Hymnal: The Cyber Hymnal #5984 First Line: Jesus, my Savior, to Bethlehem came Lyrics: 1. Jesus, my Savior, to Bethlehem came, Laid in a manger to sorrow and shame; Oh, it was wonderful, blest be His name, Seeking for me, for me: Seeking for me, seeking for me, Seeking for me, seeking for me, Oh, it was wonderful, blest be His name, Seeking for me, for me. 2. Jesus, my Savior, in mercy and love, Came from the mansions of Heaven above, Tenderly pleading with sinners like me, Pleading for me, for me: Pleading for me, pleading for me, Pleading for me, pleading for me, Tenderly pleading for sinners like me, Pleading for me, for me. 3. Jesus, my Savior, the same as of old, While I did wander afar from the fold, Gently and long He hath pled with my soul, Calling for me, for me: Calling for me, calling for me, Calling for me, calling for me, Gently and long He hath pled with my soul, Calling for me, for me. 4. Jesus, my Savior, will come from on high, Sweet is the promise as weary years fly; Oh, I shall see Him descending the sky, Coming for me, for me: Coming for me, coming for me, Coming for me, coming for me, Oh, I shall see Him descending the sky, Coming for me, for me. Languages: English Tune Title: [Jesus, my Savior, to Bethlehem came]

1876 - 1952 Arranger of "[Es Jesucristo la vida, la luz]" in Melodias Evangelicas para el Uso de las Iglesias Evangelicas de Habla Española en Todo el Mundo Robert Emmett Winsett (January 15, 1876 — June 26, 1952 (aged 76) was an American composer and publisher of Gospel music. Winsett was born in Bledsoe County, Tennessee, and graduated from the Bowman Normal School of Music in 1899. He founded his own publishing company in 1903, and his first publication, Winsett's Favorite Songs, quickly became popular among the Baptist and Pentecostal churches of the American South. Pentecostal Power followed in 1907; that year Winsett completed postgraduate work at a conservatory. He married Birdie Harris in 1908, and had three sons and two daughters with her. He settled in Fort Smith, Arkansas, continuing to compose gospel songs, of which he would write over 1,000 in total. He became a minister in 1923, and was affiliated with the Church of God (Seventh Day). Birdie Harris died late in the 1920s, and shortly thereafter Winsett moved back to Tennessee. Anonymous

Author of "耶穌我救主降生伯利恆, (Seeking for me!)" in 生命聖詩 - Hymns of Life, 1986 In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries.

H. C. Ball

1896 - 1989 Author of "Busca Por Mí" in Himnos de Gloria
