Ignaz Franz
1719 - 1790 Person Name: Ignaz Franz, 18th cent. Rewritten in German by of "Granda Di', ni laŭdas Vin" in TTT-Himnaro Cigneta Ignaz Franz Poland 1719-1790. Born at Protzau, Silesia, he studied in Glaz andf Breslau. In 1742 he became a Roman Catholic priest. He served as chaplain at Gross-Glogau and vicar of Glogau in Silesia. In 1753 he was appointed archpriest at Schlawa, and assessor to the apostolic vicar's office in Breslau in 1766. He also functioned as the Assessor for Theological Affairs at the Apostolic Vicariate. He wrote hymn lyrics and compiled religious music. His works include “Katholisches Gesangbuch” (1744). He died at Breslau.

Hendrik Arie de Hoog
1910 - 2001 Person Name: Hendrik Arie de Hoog, 20th cent. Translator of "Granda Di', ni laŭdas Vin" in TTT-Himnaro Cigneta H. A. de Hoog (authorities differ as to whether his surname should be alphabetized under d or under H) was a Dutch Esperantist and a member of the Esperanto Academy, head of its grammar section beginning in 1972, president of KELI (the main international association of Protestant Esperantists) and of its Dutch section, author of several books in Esperanto, and a member of the editorial committee that produced Adoru kantante (1971), in which he had fifteen hymn translations; thirteen texts in Adoru (2001).
