Full Name: Daniels, Louis E.

Louis E. Daniels became a priest in the Episcopal Church at age 40 and served in that capacity for forty years, twenty-five of them as Rector of Christ Church, Oberlin, Ohio, 1818-1943. He also formed several boys' choirs over the years.

He was an expert in Anglican church music, wrote a book on hymns in addition to two psalters. Kenyon College conferred upon him the degree of Doctor of Sacred Music.
