1 Savior, I would follow thee,
Ever true and faithful be;

Nor by word of action grieve thee;
Jesus, thou wilt never leave me,
While I trust and cling to thee.

2 Lord, that I may be like thee,
Daily give thy grace to me;
By thy Spirit me indwelling,
Selfishness and sin expelling,
Clouds of doubt and fear dispelling,
Make me more and more like thee.

3 Lord, that I may learn of thee,
Let me ever humble be;
All my ignorance confessing,
Wisdom give, thy greatest blessing;
All I need in thee possessing,
Let me meekly learn of thee.

4 Help me, Lord, to praise thy name,
Yesterday, today the same;
Joyfully thy praises singing,
