536. Seek Ye Who Will Some Other Way

1 Seek ye who will some other way
To find your soul's salvation,
My heart shall build on Christ alone,
The only sure foundation.
His saving Word and works endure,
On them I rest and feel secure,
With foes around me raging.

2 Seek ye who will another Frield,
Who ev'ry need supplieth;
Here is the One who help affords;
On Him my soul relieth.
'Tis He who our salvation wrought;
Our souls by Him were dearly bought:
He shed His blood to save us.

3 Seek only Him, ye troubled souls,
Who now in sorrow languish;
His grace alone is healing balm
For all your pain and anguish.
Seek Him in ev'ry time of need;
Seek Him, and ye shall find indeed
The help your heart is craving.

4 My Crown of joy shalt Thou remain,
Lord Jesus, Sun of gladness.
O let Thy rays illume my night,
Dispel all gloom of sadness.
That I the crown of life may gain,
Do Thou my faith in Thee sustain
And by Thy Spirit strengthen.

5 Turn not from me Thy kindly face,
Regard my lowly station,
And help me bear my daily cross,
Thou Fount of consolation.
From ev'ry burden grant relief,
Restore my soul from ev'ry grief,
And praise be Thine forever.
