Representative Text

1 There’s a joy in my heart since the Saviour came,
‘Tis a joy deeper than the sea;
From the bondage of sin, glory to His name!
Jesus came and He rescued me.

Refrain:
He rescued me, He rescued me,
Hallelujah! He rescued me,
He rescued me, He rescued me,
Hallelujah! He rescued me.

2 From the world and its snares, Jesus rescued me,—
Set my feet in the “Narrow Way;”
Like a song in the night, in His love so free,
And His smile brightens ev’ry day. [Refrain]

3 I have found at His side sweetest peace within,
For I walk in His glad sunshine,
And I know He will keep me from guilt and sin,
By the hold of His hand on mine. [Refrain]
