Representative Text

1 There’s a beautiful star, that is beaming afar
O’er the vale of these circleing years,
And its radiance is bright, in affliction’s sad night,
When the Spirit is bound in tears.
O’er the blessings that come to the heart and the home,
We can ever distinguish its rays,
For it speaketh the love of the Father above,
And its light is the crown of our love.

Refrain:
Beautiful star!
Beautiful star!
For it speaketh the love of the Father above,
This beautiful, beautiful, beautiful star!

2 There’s a beautiful star, that is beaming afar
O’er the true and the false of to-day,
O’er the gifts that appear in the path of the year,
As the season’s rich treasures display.
Let the ages roll on, as they ever have done,
Yet brightly its radiance will fall,
For the star is divine, and forever shall shine
Over what is created for all. [Refrain]
