One With Christ

1 There is a place for ev’ry soul
In Christ the Lord who purchas’d all,
With Him as Object, Subject, Goal,
No one need fear, no one need fall.

I in Christ, and Christ in me,
Both in one eternally,
No pow’r shall break this tie of mine,
That gives me Heav’n and life divine.

2 Since I have learn’d in Christ to dwell,
And rest in His almighty pow’r,
I know He doeth all things well,
Supplying grace from hour to hour. [Refrain]

3 When Satan tempts my soul to sin,
With his Satanic pow’r and skill,
I only know that Christ within,
Shall His own promises fulfill. [Refrain]

4 When sorrows press upon my soul
And trials more than man can bear,
In Christ alone I’ve learn’d to know
There’s ne’er a cross that He’ll not share. [Refrain]

5 Until He comes, I shall abide,
And in His work shall trust and wait,
Knowing His grace both deep and wide
Shall conquer earth, ope Heaven’s gate. [Refrain]
