The Happy Hour Is Over (Lesson-Closing)

Representative Text

1 The happy hour is over,
The lesson now is done;
While here we stand together,
Lord, bless us ev'ry one.

Chorus:
Dear Saviour, bless and keep us,
And lead us, day by day;
While absent from each other,
Be near to us, we pray.

2 Lord, help us to remember,
The precious lesson-truth;
And may we look to Jesus,
To guide us in our youth. [Chorus]

3 With joy and praise we gather,
Our loving Lord to seek;
Oh, may we follow Jesus—
Each day of all the week. [Chorus]

4 When Sabbath bells are ringing,
Oh, bring us here again,
To join in prayer and singing—
For Jesus' sake,—Amen. [Chorus]
