1 Son of God, O hear my cry:
by the holy mystery
Of your dwelling here on earth,
by your pure and holy birth,
Lord, your presence let me see,
Manifest yourself to me!
2 Lamb of God, O hear my cry:
by your bitter agony,
by your pangs, to us unknown,
by your spirit’s parting groan,
Lord, your presence let me see,
manifest yourself to me!
3 Prince of life, O hear my cry:
by your glorious majesty,
by your triumph o’er the grace,
meek to suffer, strong to save,
Lord, your presence let me see,
manifest yourself to me!
4 Lord of glory, God most high,
man exalted to the sky,
with your love my heart now fill;
prompt me to perform your will!
Then your glory I shall see;
blessed for all eternity.
