Representative Text

1 On Thee, my Lord, my soul is stayed
With Thee my heart is undismayed;
Thy presence makes my pathway bright,
Thy smile illumes the darkest night.

Refrain:
Let tempests rage,
Let ills befall,
Let hell engage,
Let death appall,
On Thee my Lord,
My soul is stayed,
On Thee my soul is stayed.

2 His gracious hand my need supplies,
His cheering voice makes joys to rise,
And all the way I’ll trust in Him,
Though strength should fail and sight grow dim. [Refrain]
