Representative Text

1 O spread the gospel tidings
Across the land and sea;
And for the Master’s glory
Tell of His grace so free.

Refrain:
Spread the tidings, glorious tidings,
Take the message all over the world,
Till from sea to sea and from shore to shore
God’s banner is unfurled.

2 O take to China’s millions,
To those who never heard,
The blessed gospel message
As written in God’s word. [Refrain]

3 To India’s heathen darkness
Go with the gospel light,
Until the night has vanished
In sunshine clear and bright. [Refrain]

4 To far-off isles and countries
Go tell of Jesus’ love,
Until the lost are gathered
Safe in the fold above. [Refrain]
