Representative Text

1 O make me a blessing, dear Saviour, for Thee,
And shine in my heart from above;
For in Thy blest service I ever would be
More earnest in labor and love.

Refrain:
O make me a blessing wherever I go,
O make me a blessing I pray;
That I may help some one Thy love to know,
O make me a blessing each day.

2 O make me a blessing, some lost one to win
From ways that are sinful and wrong;
By telling the joy of salvation within,
Or praising Thy name with a song. [Refrain]

3 O make me a blessing in all that I do,—
Wherever my pathway may lead;
And help me to tell of the Saviour so true,
Who’s love satisfies ev’ry need. [Refrain]

4 O bless me and make me a blessing each day,
The story of love to repeat;
So many have wandered from Thee far away,
And know not the story so sweet. [Refrain]
