Representative Text

1 Lord, I believe, yes, I believe,
God's gracious word I now receive;
Lost world, farewell; sinners, goodby;
Yes, to Thine arms, Jesus I fly.

Refrain:
Sinner, goodby, Vain world, farewell,
I'm going home, with God to dwell;
Lord, unto Thee, Trusting I come,
Pardon, I pray, and take me home.

2 Alien from Thee, Lord, I have been,
Stranger to truth, servant to sin;
But, Lord, my heart turns now to Thee,
Trusting Thy word, Thine will I be. [Refrain]

3 O what sweet grace, O what delight!
Gone is my pain, gone is my fright!
Peace in my heart, love in my soul!
Adam is slain, God has control. [Refrain]

4 Yes, I believe, blest be the Lord,
Now I have found peace in His word!
Jesus is mine, praise evermore!
I have a home on yon bright shore. [Refrain]
