Representative Text

1 Like children at our feeble tasks,
We have so much to learn;
We fail so oft, and Christ in love
Doth o’er our failures yearn;
Life’s problems all were solved, should we
More with our Master Teacher be.

Refrain:
More with the Master,
Close by his side,
And life shall be all victory,
Life’s joy shall abode.

2 Though striving still, how slow we mount
The upward, pilgrim way;
We stumble many a time and fall,
Too often go astray;
But we shall surely climb the steep,
If closer to our Guide we keep. [Refrain]

3 Though great the battle that we wage,
We scarce our colors show;
With fainting heart we feeble fight
And oft defeat we know;
Yet we the triumph song might sing,
Were we more loyal to our King. [Refrain]

4 How do we mar our web of life,
And tangle all the thread,
With which our unskilled fingers from
What should be fair instead;
What beauty would our lives achieve
Should we more like our pattern weave. [Refrain]
