Press a Little Farther

Representative Text

1 Let us press a little farther on the way;
Time is flying, we've no moments to delay;
For we must with patience run
Till the crown of life is won;
Let not sin nor hell our journey longer stay.

Refrain:
On the way, on the way,
Let us press a little farther on the way.
On the way, on the way,
Let us press a little farther on the way.

2 Let us press a little farther on the way,
Let us stronger be today than yesterday;
Let our love the deeper grow,
Let us more of Jesus know;
Let not earth nor hell nor sin our journey stay. [Refrain]

3 Let us pray for one another on the way,
Let each brother help his brother to obey;
Let us fight the fight of faith,
And be constant unto death;
Let us press a little farther on the way. [Refrain]
