Representative Text

1 Into the places so dark and so lonely,
Into the lives heavy-laden with care,
There is a Friend you may take, and one only,
Take Jesus there.

Chorus:
Take Jesus there,
O take Jesus there,
With His great love and his tender compassion,
Take Jesus there.

2 Into the hearts that are bleeding and broken,
Bowed with a sorrow no other can share;
O with what comfort His word may be spoken,
Take Jesus there. [Chorus]

3 Into the souls of the lost and the dying,
Go with the hope that can save from despair;
O on His pow'r and His mercy relying,
Take Jesus there. [Chorus]
