I Will Hide

Representative Text

1 In the secret of Thy presence I will hide,
In Thy secret tabernacle I'll abide,
In the shadow of Thy wing
I will trust and sweetly sing,
With the shield of Thy protection satisfied.

Refrain:
I will hide and abide,
In the secret of Thy presence I will hide;
Keep me, Jesus, keep my heart
Let it ne'er from Thee depart,
In Thy Spirit keep me sweetly sanctified.

2 From the malice of the wicked I will hide,
From their tongues deceitful slander, from their pride;
From the evil that they do,
From their worldly pomp and show–
In Thy presence I will happily abide. [Refrain]

3 Till the storm shall cease its raging I will hide,
Trust Thee all my needed blessings to provide;
Hiding ever, Lord, in Thee,
Evil cannot come to me.
Hallelujah! in my Saviour I will hide. [Refrain]
