Representative Text

1 In my heart there swells a song,
Full of beauty, sweet and strong,
Over all my earthly way the joy-note rings;
Tho’ I have no golden store,
I have treasure running o’er,
For my Father is the King of kings.

Refrain:
So my heart is light,
And my way is bright
With the joy this glad tho’t brings;
Tho’ a stranger here,
I’ve a title clear
To the wealth of the King of kings.

2 I am happy, I am free,
For, whate’er my lot may be,
There’s a thought that always joy and gladness brings;
As an heir by grace divine,
All my Father has is mine,
And my Father is the King of kings. [Refrain]

3 Tho’ the clouds may hide the sky,
There’ll be sunshine by and bye;
There’s a hope to which my heart forever clings;
As a child and heir of grace,
I shall one day have a place
In the palace of the King of kings. [Refrain]
