He Sees and Knows

Representative Text

1 In ev'ry time of trouble,
When the way is hard to find,
And tears that come unbidden
Have made our poor eyes blind,
We may always find comfort
For all life's bit'rest woes,
If we think whate'er befalls us,
Our Father sees and knows.

Chorus:
O, when the tempest lowers,
And when the storm-wind blows
We've a friend that will not fail us,
Our Father sees and knows.

2 Our feet may miss the pathways
That lead to happier lands,
Our backs be bowed with burdens,
And cares fill hearts and hands;
But let the heart grow lighter
As the thought its balm bestows,
There's mot a care or trail,
But the Father sees and knows. [Chorus]

3 So be it shade or sunshine
That falls upon the land,
God always seems beside me,
I reach and touch His hand;
O, deep the peace and lasting,
The blessed thought bestows,
There'll never com a trouble,
But my Father sees and knows. [Chorus]
