Representative Text

1 I’m walking with him who is guiding
To heaven, the glorified goal;
And sweetly in him I’m confiding,
For he is the joy of my soul!

Refrain:
Oh, he is the joy of my soul!
He keeps me so free and so whole;
I’ll stay at his side, whatsoever betide,
For he is the joy of my soul.

2 With Jesus I’m going to heaven,
I’m under his loving control;
To him all my heart I have given,
For he is the joy of my soul! [Refrain]

3 Some day I shall praise him in glory,
Where song waves forever shall roll,
And there I shall tell the glad story,
For he is the joy of my soul! [Refrain]
