Pleasures Forevermore

Representative Text

1 I lift my thankful song
To God, my Help and Guide;
To Him my life and way belong;
No evil shall betide.

Refrain:
He will show me the path of life;
In His presence is fulness of joy;
At His right hand there are pleasures,
Are pleasures forevermore;
At His right hand there are pleasures,
There are pleasures forevermore.

2 In Him is life and peace;
I trust His love and might;
He bids the strife and tumult cease,
And makes the darkness light. [Refrain]

3 My heart is glad in Him,
My portion He prepares;
His watchful eye is never dim;
For me, for me He cares. [Refrain]

4 Along the narrow way,
My Saviour goes before;
He leads to realms of endless day,
And pleasures evermore. [Refrain]
