Representative Text

1 I know that Jesus needs me,
For often here and there,
I see a lonely brother
Bent ‘neath a load of care;
And many pass me daily
Who seem to dread the fray;
I know that Jesus needs me,
And needs me ev’ry day.

Chorus:
I know that Jesus needs me,
So I’ll begin today;
To work within His vineyard
And do whate’er I may.

2 I know that Jesus needs me,
For many pass me by
Whose hearts are full of sorrow,
Whose souls for comfort sigh;
And there is none to help them
Along their cheerless way;
I know that Jesus needs me,
And needs me ev’ry day. [Chorus]

3 I know that Jesus needs me,
For often some I see
Whom sin has sadly blighted
And filled with misery,
They sigh in vain for friendship,
They hunger for a smile;
I know that Jesus needs me,
And need me all the while. [Chorus]
