Representative Text

1 I have a home at last,
’Twas bought by blood divine,
Safe from the stormy blast,
And the blest title mine.
Blood paid for every stone,
For roof, and nail and door;
There death is never known,
But life for evermore.

2 These emblems mark the wall--
The cross, the nails, the spear,
Five bleeding wounds in all
Show me the title clear.
On Calvary ’twas paid,
Each drop to Justice due;
And Love divine there laid
The price for me and you.

3 Blood-bought, I stand secure,
Since Jesus died for me;
Blood-bought, redemption sure,
If I but cling to thee.
Washed in this blood divine,
In glory to appear;
Like him forever shine,
His welcome voice to hear.
