I Care Not For Riches

Representative Text

1 I care not for riches, I care not for fame,
I only want Jesus to save me,
My soul is covered with darkness and shame,
I only want Jesus to save me.

Refrain:
I know I deserve but to die,
The vilest of sinners am I,
But the gospel I've heard,
And I'll hope in God's Word,
And seek for a mansion on high.

2 No more will I walk in sin's broad beaten path,
I only want Jesus to save me,
My soul claims the promise of peace thro' the blood,
I only want Jesus to save me. [Refrain]

3 The burden of sin is removed, praise the Lord,
I know that my Saviour has saved me,
I'm justified freely by faith in His Word,
I know that my Saviour has saved me. [Refrain]

4 Salvation and honor to Jesus my King,
I know now that Jesus has saved me,
His Spirit has taught me to trust and to sing,
I know now that Jesus has saved me. [Refrain]

5 He bore all my sins in Himself on the tree,
I know now that Jesus has saved me,
And now by believing my soul is made free,
I know now that Jesus has saved me. [Refrain]
