Representative Text

1 How oft I prayed for power,
And tarried by the way;
I wanted some great blessing
To use each busy day.

Refrain:
But now He uses me,
Praise God, He uses me;
The blessèd Holy Spirit
Uses me, even me;
But now He uses me,
Praise God, He uses me;
The blessèd Holy Spirit uses me.

2 I did not get the blessing
Until the Blesser came;
Nor was I fit for service
Till filled with love’s warm flame. [Refrain]

3 Today my richest blessing
Is doing His sweet word;
My highest joy each moment
Is to be used of God. [Refrain]
