Representative Text

1 How matchless the love of Jesus,
Who paid sin’s great price for me!
On Calvary’s cross He suffered,
And died there to set me free.

Refrain:
Oh, how matchless His love,
Coming down from above
To die for a sinner like me!
He bought my salvation on dark Calvary,
How matchless His love for me!

2 None other could die for sinners
Except God’s beloved Son;
He met sin’s deep need in anguish
And thus my redemption won. [Refrain]

3 No merit that I could offer
Would satisfy God’s demand;
The strong matchless love of Jesus
Alone for my guilt could stand. [Refrain]

4 What more could such love have cost Him
Than giving Himself to die?
He offered Himself a ransom
God’s purpose to satisfy. [Refrain]
