Lead Me On

Representative Text

1 Holy Saviour, day by day,
Save me from my sin I pray,
Let me pure and holy be;
Let me love and walk with thee.

Refrain:
Lead me on to glory,
Light and truth before me,
In my heart Thy Spirit's presence,
Lead me on.

2 Lead me Saviour, lead me on,
Jesus Christ God's Holy Son;
Gladly I Thy name confess,
Thou my life, my Righteousness. [Refrain]

3 Let me walk the holy path,
Let me flee the day of wrath;
In my Saviour's presence deep
My poor soul from evil keep. [Refrain]

4 Keep me faithful, sweet and true,
Give me grace thy will to do,
Let me perfect-hearted be,
Let me live and die for thee. [Refrain]

5 Altho' trials may abound,
Woes beset me all around,
Let me say like Job the just,
"Tho He slay me I will trust." [Refrain]

6 Let not Satan in my woe,
Say, Aha, I told you so!
Save me from his ev'ry snare,
Hear, oh Lord, thy servant's pray'r. [Refrain]
