Great Shepherd of the Sheep

1 Great Shepherd of the sheep,
In Thy one fold of love
Thy many children guard and keep
Like that great throng above.

2 Seek we each other’s weal,
Share we each other’s woe,
Low at one common altar kneel,
One common purpose know.

3 Nearer, O Lord, to Thee;
Nearer our brother then;
Till the wide world, from sea to sea,
Join in one glad Amen.
