Representative Text

1 God’s way is best for me I know,
While passing thro’ this desert drear;
He knows the way that I should go,
And He will keep it bright and clear.

Chorus:
God’s way is best, the best for me,
The best for all by sin oppressed;
For He a guide and shield will be;
Whate’er betide, His way is best.

2 The voices of the world I hear,
They tempt my soul to pleasures wrong,
But all the while my God is near,
And He is stronger than the strong. [Chorus]

3 In glory ends the path I take,
His love-light shines amid the gloom;
My soul He never will forsake,
So I shall reach my “home, sweet home.” [Chorus]
