1 Farewell! goodbye! 'tis sad from friends to part
Where love divine has joined us heart to heart;
But part we must, however great the pain.
So God be with you till we meet again.

Refrain:
Farewell! goodbye! beloved one, sad good bye!
We would that we might e'er to each be nigh;
But part we must, however great the pain,
So God be with you 'till we meet again.

2 Farewell! goodbye! be ever strong in grace;
With cheerful heart the Master's footsteps trace;
His hand will hold, His Spirit guide your way,
And may be we shall meet again some day. [Refrain]

3 Farewell! goodbye! our pray'r shall follow thee,
When at the throne of grace we bow the knee;
Forget us not, but kindly for us pray,
And may be we shall meet again some day. [Refrain]
