Art thou weary, art thou languid?

Representative Text

1 Fáradt vagy és megterhelve,
Ellankadt szíved?
Jézus hív, nála nyugalmad
megleled!

2 Van-e jel, mely hozzá vezet
Az életen át?
Lábán, kezén lásd szenvedése
nyomát!

3 Mint királynak, fénylő fejdísz
Van-e homlokán?
Értünk hordott koszorút a
Golgotán.

4 Ha követem bátran, híven,
Mi a földi díj?
Fáradságos, bajjal teljes
útra hív.

5 Ha mellette hűn megállok,
A célnál mi vár?
Trónját osztja majd meg véled a
Király!

6 Annak, aki hozzá fordul,
Mondhat-e nemet?
Semmiképpen nem vet ő ki
tégedet!

7 Biztos-e, hogy jóban-rosszban
Áldását nyerem?
Próféta, apostol, mártír
szól: Igen!.

He was ordained in the Church of England in 1842, but ill health and his strong support of the Oxford Movement kept him from ordinary parish ministry. So Neale spent the years between 1846 and 1866 as a warden of Sackvi… Go to person page >
