Hallelujah for the Cleansing Stream

Representative Text

1 Blessed is the peace divine within my soul,
Since the purifying stream has made me whole;
Christ the Saviour in me,
From all sin He sets me free,
Hallelujah for the cleansing stream!

Chorus:
Hallelujah for the stream, the cleansing, purifying stream,
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Now the Spirit dwells within
And my heart is free from sin,
Hallelujah for the cleansing stream!

2 Wonderful the time the Holy Spirit came,
In that moment all of life was set aflame;
On the altar all was laid,
For all time the price was paid,
Hallelujah for the cleansing stream! [Chorus]

3 Gracious pow’r is giv’n to walk life’s changing way,
Strength divine is always granted day by day;
Trusting in the blood alone,
For my sin it shall atone,
Hallelujah for the cleansing stream! [Chorus]
