Behold the Lamb of God, who bore thy burdens, &c. T. Haweis. [Passiontide.] From his Carmina Christo, &c, 1792. No. 5 in 4 stanzas of 4 lines, and based on John i. 29. It is found in a few collections, and is worthy of more extended use. The text of Hymnal Companion, although claiming to be correct, is altered in stanzas i. and iv. and is from Bickersteth's Christian Psalmody of 1833.
