Representative Text

1 Are you weary? do you grieve?
Whisper it to Jesus, whisper it to Jesus;
He is waiting to relive,
Whisper it, whisper it to Jesus.
Heart, by worldly cares distressed,
He will take you to his breast,
Comfort you and give you rest,
Whisper it, whisper it to Jesus.

2 Can you not your burdens bear?
Whisper it to Jesus, whisper it to Jesus;
Ere it sinks you in despair,
Whisper it, whisper it to Jesus.
Do not struggle on alone;
He will always help his own;
Only make your weakness known,
Whisper it, whisper it to Jesus.

3 Are you lost in sin’s dark night?
Whisper it to Jesus, whisper it to Jesus;
He will quickly give you light;
Whisper it, whisper it to Jesus.
Let your soul no longer stray;
Jesus is the Perfect Way;
He will change your night to day,
Whisper it, whisper it to Jesus.
