Alma, cese tu dolor, Todo consumó Jesús

Representative Text

1 Alma, cese tu dolor,
Todo consumó Jesús:
Tu castigo padeció
Espirando en una cruz.
Alma, ya no llores más:
Mira a Cristo y vivirás.

2 Sobre el justo se cargó
Toda tu perversidad:
Dios así lo castigó
Para darte libertad:
Mira, triste pecador,
Cristo es tu libertador.

3 Si confías sólo en Él,
Él te otorgará perdón.
Hallarásle siempre fiel,
Pronto a darte salvación.
Mira a Cristo por la fe,
Sin temor acude a Él.

4 Mira, ¡oh Dios!, mi poca fe;
Dame más, ¡oh Salvador!
¡Oh Señor!, propicio sé
A mí, pobre pecador:
Ten Jesús, piedad de mí:
Nada puedo hacer sin Ti.

Amén.

In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries. Go to person page >
