Aleluya, gloria a Cristo

Representative Text

1 ¡Aleluya! Gloria a Cristo,
poderoso Salvador;
¡Aleluya! La victoria
por sí solo conquistó;
Escuchad las alabanzas
del gran coro celestial;
Jesucristo, con su sangre,
redención al hombre da.

2 ¡Aleluya! No temamos,
con nosotros Cristo está.
¡Aleluya! Su presencia
gozo y confianza da.
Recordemos la promesa
que Jesús, al ascender,
Hizo a sus seguidores:
“Con vosotros estaré”.

3 ¡Aleluya! Por su muerte
él la muerte conquistó.
¡Aleluya! Vive ahora,
con poder resucitó.
Nuestro Sumo Sacerdote
a los cielos ascendió;
Intercede por nosotros
ante el santo Padre Dios.

4 ¡Aleluya! Rey supremo,
Dios eterno, Gran Señor;
¡Aleluya! El es digno;
dadle gloria y honor.
Cantan seres celestiales;
hombres, levantad la voz;
Todo lo creado cante
alabanza a nuestro Dios.

Dix published various volumes of his hymns, such as Hymns of Love and Joy (1861) and Altar Songs: Verses on the Holy Eucharist (1867). A number of his texts were first published in Hymns Ancient and Modern (1861). Bert Polman… Go to person page >
