Representative Text

1 Like fishermen who left their boats
and nets beside the sea,
may we too answer Jesus’ call
when we hear “Follow me.”

2 Like that brave soldier who believed
his slave would be made well,
may our belief in Jesus’ power
all fear and doubt dispell.

3 Like people on that seaside hill
who came to hear him preach,
may we still learn from Jesus now
all that he has to teach.

4 Like one small boy who shared his food,
may we give Jesus leave
to work such miracles through us,
that we may all believe.

5 Like all who heard that Jesus lives,
may we, with every breath,
sing Alleluias to our God,
whose love has conquered death.
