(Rome, Pennsylvania, 1850--1919). Attended grade school in Rome, Penn. when P.P. Bliss was teacher. Later majored in music, joined D.L. 1864 - 1964 Author of "Fling out the Banner" in Hymns New and Old, Revised Ella Lauder was Editor of the Home Department of the Midland, a Chicago periodical where many of her writings appeared, both prose and poetry.
