Representative Text

1 God hath givn' to Isaac room—
See Philistines friendly come;
Hark! they hail one common Lord;
One by him, by them ador'd.

2 Strife, contention, hatred ends;
Met in peace, they dwell as friends;
Mutual oath, confirm'd above,
Jesu and Gentile binds in love.

3 Lord! complete this type of thee,
Bid all nations bend the knee;
Blessed in th'eternal Son,
Bring the wond'rers home, as one.

4 Give them peace, the peace of God;
Peace in heaven by Jesus' blood;
Thou the truth, the life, the way,
Peace, good will to all display.
