K'tu Zoti Im

Author: Horatius Bonar; Jan Foss, 1954- Meter: 10.10.10.10 Appears in 1 hymnal Matching Instances: 1 First Line: K’tu, Zoti im, të shoh unë ballë për ballë Lyrics: 1 K’tu, Zoti im, të shoh unë ballë për ballë; K’tu prek unë gjëra t’pashikuara; K’tu hiri yt më duket më i gjall’ Tek k’to simbole të kushtuara. 2 K’tu bashk’ me ty buk’ qielli ha unë sot, Me ty unë ver’ mbret’rore t’qiellit pi. Nga unë largoj çdo barrë dhe gjë të kotë. Që falur jam, kujtoj në qetësi. 3 Me këngë fal’nderimi do t’këndoj Tek kjo tryez’ qiellore që ke shtruar. Lord, when thy Kingdom comes, remember me!

Author: William Dalrymple MacLagan, 1826-1910 Meter: 10.10.10.10 Appears in 28 hymnals Matching Instances: 1 Lyrics: 1 'Lord, when thy kingdom comes, remember me!' Thus spake the dying lips to dying ears; O faith, which in that darkest hour could see the promised glory of the far-off years! 2 No kingly sign declares that glory now, no ray of hope lights up that awful hour; a thorny crown surrounds the bleeding brow, the hands are stretched in weakness, not in power. 3 Hark! Through the gloom the dying Saviour saith, 'thou too shalt rest in paradise today:' O words of love to answer words of faith! O words of hope for those who live to pray! 4 Lord, when with dying lips my prayer is said, grant that in faith thy Kingdom I may see; and, thinking on thy cross and bleeding head, may breathe my parting words, 'remember me.' *5 Remember me, but not my shame or sin; thy cleansing blood hath washed them all away; thy precious death for me did pardon win; thy blood redeemed me in that awful day. 6 Remember me; and, ere I pass away, speak thou the assuring word that sets us free, and make thy promise to my heart, 'Today thou too shalt rest in paradise with me.' By these let all men know I am a man

Author: William B. Braithwaite Meter: 10.10.10.10 Appears in 1 hymnal Matching Instances: 1 Lyrics: 1 By these let all men know I am a man, and all things human are akin to me; one blood I share with all the sons of men; one mind directs, on spirit moves us all. 2 No shame I know of lesser breed or hue but claim my birthright, said the Pongo man; an heir to freedom and unmeasured lands I join the hunt for lions' hides or game. 3 But one day cruel men from Europe's shores to Africa for human cargoes came: they roamed our forests with their guns and nets, they caught or bought their fellow men as slaves. 4 Like souls who taste the miseries of hell the slaves in chains lay in dark filthy holds of storm-tossed ships that sailed for endless months across Atlantic Ocean's thousand leagues. 5 The 'Middle Passage' claimed more than its share of tortured captives driven to despair who died beneath the cruel captor's whip or sought their freedom in an ocean grave. 6 Uprooted from their homeland, Africa, the sad survivors, hopeless exiles, came to strike new roots in Caribbean Isles, and working for a new and better life. Come, risen Lord, and deign to be our guest

Author: George Wallace Briggs, 1875-1959 Meter: 10.10.10.10 Appears in 48 hymnals Matching Instances: 1 Lyrics: 1 Come, risen Lord, and deign to be our guest; nay, let us be thy guests; the feast is thine; thyself at thine own board make manifest, in thine own sacrament of bread and wine. 2 We meet as in that upper room they met; thou at the table, blessing, yet dost stand: 'This is my body': so thou givest yet; faith still receives the cup as from thy hand. 3 One body we, one body who partake, one church united in communion blessed; one name we bear, one bread of life we break, with all thy saints on earth and saints at rest. 4 One with each other, Lord, for one in thee, who art one Saviour and one living Head; then open thou our eyes, that we may see; be known to us in breaking of the bread.
