He studied organ with Anton Heiller at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna, Austria, and voice with Marcia Baldwin at Indiana University. He sang opera, professionally, as a baritone for a number of years. Organist/Choirmaster at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Richmond, Virginia, for seventeen years, he now lives in St. Louis, where since 1998 he has been music director at St. Thomas/Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. There he also helps produce "Crossover" contemporary worship. World Library Publications has published several of his sacred choral works as well as a hymn collection.
