The Rev. William Gay (b.1920) collaborates in hymn writing with his wife Annabeth McClelland Gay. His text "Each winter as the year grows older" appears in Worship II, 1975 and in the UCC Hymnal, 1974. He died in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2009.
