Chesbro, Frances (Mayo). (July 13, 1824-?). Born in Warwick, Massachusetts, educated at Deerfield Academy. She began to teach district schools when only sixteen. At twenty, married George L. Chesbro. Contributed to various magazines and papers. In 1858, she published a story book for children, Smiles and Tears. Sent numerous hymns and poems to the Liberal Christian and other Unitarian publications. In 1875, was living in Northboro, Massachusetts.
