Bromehead, Joseph, M.A., was born in 1748 and educated at Queen's College, Oxford; B.A. 1768, M.A. 1771. Subsequently he was Curate of Eckington, Derbyshire, to his death, January 30, 1826. He was the author of The Melancholy Student, 2nd edition 1776, of some Psalm versions, and the popular form of “Jerusalem, my happy home," q.v.
