The Shaker hymn, “Simple Gifts” is juxtaposed with a new tune set to 1 Corinthians 13 over the same accompaniment. On the third repetition the two tunes are layered to great effect. Use this with a choir divided into two even parts, or with two choirs in tandem. Suitable for children or adults.
