This gentle partner song conveys a plaintive call for “love’s pure light” to bring peace and harmony in the holiday season. It opens with the beloved carol tune “Cradle Song,” (commonly known as “Away in a Manger”), sung to an inspired new text that prepares the entrance of the familiar canon “Dona Nobis Pacem.” In the final verse, the two tunes combine in their call for peace.
